Join me on Tumblr?

Hello, my fabulous readers!

I’ve joined the Tumblr community! Yeah, I’m a little behind the curve. You can find me at lilyparkersims.tumblr.com. The Tumblr (aka simblr) is an offshoot of Jill’s 100 Baby Challenge. Here’s what you can expect to find there:

  • Extra photos & commentary
  • Sneak peeks into upcoming episodes
  • Links to chapters as they’re posted
  • Um, other stuff & things …

You can ask me anything about any chapter, either here or on Tumblr, and I’ll be happy to answer you. It doesn’t have to be the most current chapter. I’m easy like that. 😉

This blog will remain the permanent home to full chapters of Jill’s 100 Baby Challenge. So, no change there. If you want extra goodies, you’re welcome to double-dip both here and on Tumblr. I plan on following simblrs that are primarily original content, as mine will be, since my time is limited. If you have one, please let me know so I can check it out.

In case I don’t say it enough, I love you guys! ♥

  1. I tried to do a Simblr but Tumblr is too confusing for me. I’ve been using WordPress far too long. Since they changed WordPress I’ve been so confused! Can’t teach an old dog new blog platforms.

    • I hear you on that. I wouldn’t give up WordPress for my main blog. I find it much easier to work with, both as a writer and as a reader. However, I see Tumblr as a great place for shorter updates posted with less lag time in between, and it’s especially good for those extra pics and dialogue that don’t really fit into the edited story but that readers may still find interesting.

Lots of fun stuff to see and read on Tumblr, too! It’s even inspired me to take on a Rags-to-Riches Challenge to mix things up and stir my creative juices. To keep myself sane, I created a separate Tumblr for that challenge (simsstartingover.tumblr.com). I’m not savvy enough to weave two stories into a single Tumblr yet. I’m still an old dog, after all, and I’ve learned several new tricks over the last few days. I’ve gotta pace myself. LOL.

  2. I was so glad to see you on Tumblr! Like you, I’m keeping my story on my website blog, but Tumblr is great for random game pics and networking with other simmers. I’ve met some great friends there.

    • Thanks, Misty! I’m really enjoying Tumblr. It’s much easier to follow and talk to other simmers there, but WordPress is easier to publish regular blog updates. I like a mix of the two. 🙂

  3. Hey. I have a Tumblr too. I don’t update on it much, but when I do, it’s usually original content. I’ve reblogged maybe 5% of the stuff that’s on there. LOL. I’m one of the ones who gets confused by Tumblr. I think it has a good intention though, which is why I keep mine around. I tried writing a story on there, but then decided short stories were best, so I have one short story, LOL. I didn’t really like how people couldn’t comment after every chapter like they can on blogs. I think it’s cool that you find it easier to talk to people through Tumblr because I actually think it’s easier to talk to people on my blogs. LOL. Anyway, if you want to follow me, it’s lateknightsimmer.tumblr.com. No pressure of course, and I will take no offense if you decline. ❤

    • I’m already following you — have been for a while. 😀 I agree completely that it’s much easier to post full chapters and make comments on blogs. But it’s easier to have general conversations with other simmers, ask questions, etc. on Tumblr because you can message them privately as well as publicly.

    • Although those pics didn’t fit in with the rest of the blog chapter, they were irresistible. I had to use them somewhere. Big, bad Jasper just looks so ridiculous. LOL.
