When I walked into the bar and saw Quidel Blackhawk from across the room, my heart skipped a beat. Since Quidel’s arrival in Moonlight Falls a few months ago, he had quickly established himself in the art scene as a creative genius. As someone who aspired to be an artist herself, I found that very attractive. There were rumors around town about Quidel hiding a deep, dark secret, and that only fueled his meteoric rise to celebrity status. I’d learned long ago not to believe everything I read on the internet and certainly not the far-fetched stories in The Sims Enquirer. Still, there was something about those eyes of his. I felt like I could get lost in them forever.
I introduced myself to Quidel, and we chatted. Chatting quickly turned to flirting. One thing led to another, and I invited him over to my house. Quidel was quite the charmer and gave me some beautiful yellow flowers. Ava was trying not to be insensitive, but I could tell she wished I’d quit flirting with this guy and fix the TV instead.
While Aiden and Ava took care of their younger siblings, Quidel and I kicked things up a notch in the romance department. When I gazed into Quidel’s golden eyes, I got weak in the knees, and his kisses were like chocolate to a chocoholic. I couldn’t get enough.
The next thing I knew, we were behind locked doors in the bedroom, and blankets and pillows were being tossed about. Quidel said he’d be honored to father a child with me, and I said I hoped the baby would have his gorgeous, golden eyes.
I invited Quidel to spend the night, and after putting the kiddos to bed, I went to sleep with a smile on my face and Quidel by my side. In the middle of the night I was awakened by some strange sounds and lights and went outside to see what was happening.
As I looked up into the lights, I suddenly saw that they were coming from an alien spaceship. I tried to run away as fast as I could, but I got caught in a beam of light and abducted.
After what seemed like forever (but was only a few minutes in real time), the alien landed its spaceship, let me out and then took off into the night. I felt … probed … and was not happy about it. I went back to bed, wrapped Quidel’s strong arms around me and tried to forget about the whole ordeal.
The following day, I started having the all-too-familiar nauseated feeling in my stomach. I couldn’t keep my lunch down. As much as I hated being sick, I knew this meant I was carrying Quidel’s baby, and that made me insanely happy.
Quidel hung out with me all day and spent the night again. The following morning, I knew for sure I was pregnant.
Quidel and I continued acting like a couple of teenagers in love, cuddling on the loveseat and making out.
Meanwhile, Aiden was kind enough to teach Colton how to talk. When teenagers weren’t having mood swings and causing chaos, they sure were handy to have around.
Ava helped out getting the twins ready for bed. As Ava was about to put Colton to bed, Chloe levitated herself with her fairy wings. If only Chloe could lift herself high enough to get in and out of her crib on her own – that would be fantastic.
Quidel had to head home, so it was just me and the kiddos again. I made dinner and put the dishes in the dishwasher, while Ava finished eating. When she was done, Benjamin and I were in her way, so instead of using the dishwasher, she washed her plate in the sink. Little did she know that Aiden had booby-trapped the sink. Water sprayed all over Ava and puddled on the kitchen floor. Since she had pulled that prank before, Ava was a good sport about it and cleaned up the mess.
It was getting close to bedtime, and Benjamin had a habit of checking under the bed for monsters. I saw him make a mad dash out of the bedroom and can only assume he saw a monster this time.
At 11:30pm, my phone rang, and it was Kenji Lee asking me out on a date. It was pretty late, but I knew I had to get to know as many men as possible, so I accepted. We met at Aleister’s Elixirs, which was close to home, and talked about our families.
After spending so much time with Quidel, the paparazzi decided I was “interesting by association.” They had followed me on the date and asked for a photo. After seeing all the terrible shots they had of me, I decided I’d actually pose for a photo this time. I flashed them a couple of peace signs and asked them to move along now that they had what they wanted.
Kenji took out his guitar and started playing it. Being serenaded would’ve been more romantic if Kenji hadn’t put out his guitar case. Was he expecting me to tip him? And, who’s that guy walking by? Why is he glowing? Too many strange things for me to handle when I’m tired and pregnant. I called it a night.
The next day, it was time for Ava, Aiden and Benjamin to age up. So, I bought three birthday cakes and threw a party at the house. I invited the kids’ Dads, as well as Matt and Kenji. I knew if I’d invited Quidel, I’d be too distracted, so although I felt guilty, I didn’t invite him. Things got a little hectic as everyone started to arrive. Chase and Marco came to watch their kiddos grow up. Kenji brought chili con carne, Charles Lee (a cute party crasher) brought tri-tip steak, and Matt brought enough flowers to start his own garden.
Aiden was first to blow out his candles. As a young adult, Aiden became Good, which rounded out his other traits of Virtuoso, Slob, Animal Lover and Dramatic. His Lifetime Wish is to be a One Sim Band.
Ava blew out the candles next. As a young adult, Ava became Neurotic, in addition to her other traits of Heavy Sleeper, Absent-Minded, Loves the Outdoors and Gatherer. Ava’s Lifetime Wish is to have The Perfect Garden.
Finally, it was Benjamin’s turn to age up. As a teenager, Benjamin became a Slob, in addition to being Artistic, Brave and a Vegetarian.
When everyone grabbed a slice of cake, we realized there weren’t enough seats at the table. Chase took his cake into the bathroom and ate it while sitting on the toilet. Oh, Chase, you may be inappropriate, but you’re also very considerate. I’m pretty sure no one else wanted that seat.
Since it was crowded in the kitchen, Chase washed his plate in the bathroom sink. Unfortunately for him, Aiden had rigged that sink, too, and Chase got soaking wet from the spraying faucet.
With that, we called it a night, said goodbye to our guests, cleaned up the kitchen and went to bed. The party was a success! Tomorrow, I’d have to say goodbye to Ava and Aiden now that they were old enough to move out. That was going to be tough, and I needed a good night’s sleep first.
